I understand the logic for the criticism, but Canelo has already been critiqued for fighting Khan, a smaller fighter. Maybe he doesn't want to repeat that scenario again.

No good excuse for not fighting Benavidez though. Everyone knows that.

If Crawford can beat one of the champs at 160 I think people would become a lot more interested in seeing him face Canelo. But that seems an unlikely next step.
