Most boxers are fughed anyway with them retreating from fighting but talking the opposite
The problem with Slow Eddie is he likes to make fighter’s believe he can offer them the world and then nada
But the grass ain’t greener on the other side
For some, it will be. For others, it won't. It's better than staying with the same promoter/manager/advisor and praying that things get better...when signs are telling you that something needs to change.

As for Matias, he's been signed to MR for a month now...so no cause for concern yet. I wish he had a fight lined up already, but I'm assuming the objective is to get him a June date on PR parade weekend. Maybe pair him with Berlanga and/or Yankiel on one card.

DClefthook, to say that MR "poached" Rivera/Rodriguez implies that MR has signed them. When did MR confirm these signings?

That’s exactly it ; he should have a fight already setup
That is the reason for change ; change !
It seems like the norm , earn with Slow Eddie for one fight and then it’s a bust
Slow Eddie has a tendency of saying all the right things to get you there and then it’s a total chit show
      Never fails

Don't know if any of those guys, Catterall and Taylor would fight Matias. Took 2 years to make the rematch and a lot of money was invested just to lure Taylor into it.

I also don't know Ramirez's asking price for the Matias fight if it is offered. Last time Hearn tried to pit him against Conor Benn and Eddie was surprised to learn Jose is not cheap. Arum is obviously paying him substantial amount, but Ramirez still ended up signing with GBP. Only positive side is Ramirez and Matias are on the same platform DAZN.

I think we can assume that ALL promoters make promises and create plans for their prospective clients. The question is...how does the promoter adjust when they won't be able to fulfill the plan they laid out for the fighter?

Matias signed with PBC in 2020, fought 6 times, average # of months between fights: 7.5 months, longest period of inactivity: 13 months (Ananyan 2 to Ponce).

Matias has currently been inactive since November (4 months), and has been a MR boxer for a month. I'm going to assume that he has a 3 fight deal/11 or 12 month deal like Prograis. If he fights in June/early July, then Matias is in no worse a situation than he was with PBC.

Champions rarely fight each other in this sport. You have to fight everybody. Otherwise, you'll get hungry and have nothing to feed to your family. Ramirez would give all these "champions" hell.

Ramirez has had opportunities over the past year to fight for a title or become the first in line for one, and he's declined: Prograis, Paro, Barboza, and Teofimo. He may give all of these guys a great fight, but the match-ups have not been happening.

Seems like Paro is still gonna take the fight, as he should.
