Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez-Jaime Munguia Set for May 4

With their May 4 undisputed super middleweight bout now official, can Jaime Munguia subject Canelo Alvarez to anything near the rugged treatment the boxing public delivered while battering Alvarez during the process of him settling upon his Mexican countryman as a foe?

Canelo still working with PBC? Maybe we can still see the fight everybody would rather see next.

So that is how you 'earn' the Canelo fight. Move up to 168 , beat 2 old gate keepers and you skip the line. His last 6 opponents have a total of 34 losses. Well done Canelo.

Nah,**** this fight. Skips David to fight a dude who's defence has more holes than swiss cheese. Let's hear it from his fans as to why he's fighting a fellow Mexican.

Good fight, it just isn’t a world title fight regardless of what corrupt alphabet organizations say. Canelo has earned the right to fight whoever he wants, but you don’t get to call yourself a world champion when you’re clearly ducking the number one guy. Despite that point, I’ll be watching and looking forward to
it, I expect a war, Munguia never gives us anything less.
