AJ did what any top boxer should do with an MMA fighter.

Fury stained boxing with his performance, AJ put it right.

Maybe the MMA angle finally hit with casuals with that fight. Respect to Floyd & Conor.

Boxing has a long history of trying to push boundaries with novelty fights (blindfolded boxers, fighting bears & kangaroos, Ali vs wrasslers & football players, Foreman vs 5 guys, celebrity boxers, etc & so on) its bout time it hit a trend ppl are into with MMA guys & influencers.

Yeah, that's true, although I don't think they can sell a MMA guy in a boxing ring for quite a while after today.

          Ill take that bet.

The biggest problem with MMA guys in boxing is the UFC & their fooked up contracts not losing fights. And the UFC has the most sellable & known guys at or near their prime. After Ngannou got out of his contract they've switched up all their deals to make it harder to get out of your contract.

Theres a bunch of mma guys boxing at any time usually. Non-ufc guys aren't usually stopped from boxing. If you look up random ufc guys who'll often find out they had 1 or 2 boxing matches before they got to the ufc. Sh^t Anthony Pettis still hasn't boxed since beating RJJ almost a year ago. He could surely get a bigger fight in the near future with a 1-0 record & that W is over a HOFer. Rampage Jackson has been talking about fighting Shannon Briggs lately. Cyborg has been boxing & trying to lure Shields into a beef.

Fury made believers in Francis, in the start it was Fury would destroy him, but for the first time after that fight people were really thinking Francis can do this, now its a landslide back to the MMA guy has no chance, if you cant sell that chance of winning you don't really have anything to sell. I thought at the time that Fury didn't train for it so it was a bit of a mirage, I just think its going to be a while before they can sell the right situation and the right two guys, there are whispers about Manny and Mcgregor be interesting if they go down that road.

Thats always been ridiculous to me. I think its dumb to think its universal either way. Its an individual sport. Individuals fighting sell fights. If influencer can get as much attention as they are these days for boxing an mma guy will too regardless of what happened today. Its a money thing, an attention thing, not a are mma guys winning enough boxing matches thing.

I guarantee you we will see more boxer vs mma guy fights. Like I mentioned I think we could see Pettis, Rampage or Cyborg in them this year. Jose Aldo is boxing now too. I think I heard Jorge Masvidal has talked about boxing soon.

And hell to me Ngannou losing today just makes Ngannou vs Wilder more viable later this year or early next year if Ngannou doesn't retire or retire after his next mma fight since hes older. And Tyson, AJ & Wilder are the 3 guys Ngannou said he wanted to box. Or if Ngannou boxes a lesser guy or two & evens out that 0-2 record maybe that Fury rematch makes sense after Fury beats AJ or he loses to Usyk or AJ.

                Boxing needed that.

                Well done.
Ngannou used boxing mechanics against Fury and Joshua so how is Joshua boxings savior?

I don't think Parker hurts Ngannou.

                    Boxing fans are ''weird''

At 1st, Francis was a ''legit threat'' because ''Fury didn't really beat him and Fury is the best !''

AJ made quick and hysterical work of him and all of a sudden Francis is garbage.

They are just as fickle as they have always been, you know why, because the majority don't know what they looking at, they follow and swallow the hype which is quicksand, so rather than drowning they jump on another bandwagon and repeat it over and over.
