At 154lbs Tszyu would've forfeited the belt to fight Keith. Wouldn't have mattered if he won or lost, he would've been stripped.
Why would he need to forfeit the belt if it was 154? What belt group rule is that? I've seen others suggest that, but never heard that as a legit belt group rule.

Idk why it would matter. If he fights at 154 & won why tf should he be stripped??? Hell what if he weighs in at 154 by accident? Will they strip him the day before the fight or will he need to go eat something real quick?

Keef shouldn’t be fighting a Tazoo especially after being out of the ring for two years
I would believe this fight more if at least he had taken a tuneup but not even
And people here thinking that Keef has any credible chance are even more ignorant than than the Fury/AJ fans who think they are that great at boxing
Mula, I have been in Clearwater where Keith is currently training. I think he has been hurting himself by cutting to 47. I agree a tuneup would’ve been ideal, but I’ve watch a few days of sparring with active fighters, and he has been laying it down. I think he has benefited from the time off. Everyone wants to hate, but I know him as a friend, he needed it. Another thing people don’t realize, bc it wasn’t in the media, is that he has had 3 surgeries and they’ve been pretty rough.
All we can hope for is a great fight, which I believe we are in store for!

I don't really care about titles, if you ask me. If fighters agree to fight each other, that's all that matters to me. It's bad enough to see fighters on the same platform, same division, same platform, same street, etc. not to fight each other. Spence vs Thurman, for example. Didn't happen. Ennis vs Thurman didn't happen. Ennis vs Stanionis didn't happen, etc.

Thurman isn't ranked in the top 15. He isn't ranked at all.

You can't be the champ and fight a guy who isn't in the top 15 - for tuneup-level optional defenses, they usually pick some weirdo ranked 12 or 14 or whatever, but they can't pick just anybody.

There's some leeway when a guy is moving up - if a guys got a high ranking and moves up and the champ wants to fight him, the Orgs will just toss him somewhere in the top 15.

Problem is, Thurman was removed from the 147 rankings entirely when he didn't move forward with the Ugas fight. He isn't ranked at all at the moment.

So Tszyu would have to give up his belt to fight Thurman, unless he fights him outside of the weight class where he's champion.

The belt issue doesn't really make sense to me for the weight the more I think about it tho. Ok it’s not for Tszyu's belt. But why 155 instead of 154? The belt group has also said if Tszyu loses they'll strip the belt from him anyway at 155 so idk why they wouldn't just fight at 154. Weird to me, but maybe some logic I'm missing.
I read that he wouldn’t lose his belt win or lose but that he would have a certain time to face his mando
            That was my understanding

I just can’t see him getting passed the 8th round
Hoping it’s a good fight how long it lasts

Yep. Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tzsyu didn't materialize. And it appears that fight will never happen at any time in the future, especially now that Charlo gave up all his belts and nobody knows whether he will move up or stay at 154. Like everyone else in this sport who choose to waste their prime years, they'll go back begging for fights in their 40s at less than 10% of what they used to make. It will be a pitiful sight.

Mate his personal life is by all probability falling apart, nobody plans their prime sitting on the couch playing video games, life derails their career, these fighters are not wind up toys, they live first and fight second.

Personal life excuses mean nothing to me. They're nothing more than made up excuses. Explain to me why staying at home 24/7/365 would solve such issues. What exactly is he doing at this moment, stare at his wife, wash dishes, play video games, sit on his couch watching Tzsyu/Thurman press con...

Solve what issues, you have no idea what the private life is doing, you got some growing to do kid because you have no understanding of what life can do to you, fck I cant believe the attitude its just so naïve to life, as I said the other day, why do celebrities that have everything hang themselves of a door knob, its all about pressures stardom brings and how one can handle them, these high rolling people are surrounded by treacherous snakes, plastic back slappers, liars and deviates, the only straight shooting going on is what can they suck out of you, when you are a light they come around like moths, if they not strong minded and careful it can swoop them up and destroy anything that was good, some of them get eaten up by it all and tap themselves,,,, you have so much to learn about life.
