And rightfully so. He was always competitive. Even in the Crawford fight before his dad threw in the towel too early. Shawn fought almost everybody from his era.
Porter is proof that a fighter doesn't need to be their division's #1 to be respected. I wish he would've continued fighting after the Crawford fight because WW needed a gatekeeper of his caliber.

That'd be one tough gatekeeper. I think he beats everybody fighting at WW now (since Bud and Spence and Thurman have moved on) except probably Ennis.

        Always mate.

I treat others how they treat me. Give respect and I'll reciprocate . Also goes the other way

It's ok to disagree. That's what forums are for.

I'm not so sure he even wins against Tszyu

All that footwork, moving around and jumping in.
          Tim has seen it.
          He stopped people doing that.

I think Thurman underestimates Tim's ability to adjust with micro-movements. Moving your head a lil bit and landing your punch. Backing up by a step to adjust your counters. I don't think Thurman understands what he signed up for. He probably see some Danny in Tim and thinks he can deal with that.
          Boy.
He's in for a rude awakening...

Tim hasn't fought anyone with Thurmans ability, Thurman made a point of Mendoza is always getting outboxed and he went 12, I feel if Thurman was fighting Mendoza the majority would be picking Thurman, to be honest I don't think much of Tims resume at all, the name guys Horn was totally shot and Harrison was having his last fight, Mendoza is right in front compared to Thurman, if he doesn't run Keith over he could find himself playing catch real easy.

thurman definitely has the experience to hang in there against top notch fighters.

to me, tszyu just really passes the eye test. there was never a point that it feels like he's getting in trouble in any fight. he's sorta like bud in that regard. calm and collected during the storm.

thurman has the names in resume for sure. but it's not like tszyu will lose to those names.

mendoza is a big guy and was coming off a ko streak. thurman is coming up in weight and hasn't had a ko in nearly a decade. unless the 147 weight cut all these years has render him ineffective, which might make this fight better for him and a return to his prime years when he was young when weight cuts didnt matter.

just based on the odds, if thurman wins, it might be the biggest upset of the year.

im not convinced yet. he looks sorta off with the hand pads footage they released.

ill wait for amazon prime all access footage so i can see more of how he looks in training

Keith Thurman, at 35, Aims for the Big Names – Including Terence Crawford NOW that he no longer has a belt.

I would not want to see that fight NOW, only because what would it mean?

Keith Thurman was not as accomplished as Errol Spence, and what happened to him is history.

He can cash out fighting young lions, like he is trying to do now.

Win or lose for him is Boots next?

That is a fight I might pay to see.

                  Meh.
I think Keef and Spence have about the same accomplishments.
Spence couldn't knockout seven people including his only loss
Keef couldn't knockout nine people including his only loss

They defeated the same amount of champions (7)
                  They were both unified.

The only difference in their resume really is Brook, who got obliterated by Golovkin.
But that can be canceled out because Keef beat Porter, Danny, etc. first.
Spence came for that sloppy seconds.
