Do Fury fans still hold Wallin high because he gave their god a tough fight?

Wallin is back to being a nobody.

I won’t say he is a nobody because he lost both fights against 2 of the best HWs in the world. He has beaten a few decent HWs in Breazeale, Gassiev & Kauffman. He is definitely a top 20 HW. He is right when he said look at what Parker did. He took a step back stayed in the gym, had 2 low level fights then destroyed Simon Kean on the big stage & closed out 2023 with the Wilder win. 4 fights & 4 training camps.

Wallin should do the same. Just don’t sign with a mickey mouse promoter that can’t keep him active. He should take a gimme fight in April then another in June. Get 2 camps & 2 wins then step it up in August against a guy like Jerry Forrest, Jermaine Franklin or John Rice then close out 2024 with a credible top 10-15 opponent to get back in the mix.

Sitting around waiting isn’t helping. He did too much of that after beating Kauffman & Breazeale. He lost all momentum. I won’t write him off yet. He is a HW & the landscape can change with 1 punch. There will be vacant belts appearing after the Fury/Usyk fight.

Fury fans didn't hold Wallin in high regards he was ranked decently in sanctioning bodies that's it just like Schwarz or w/e his name was.

He was a stiff when Fury fought and beat him and he was a stiff when AJ beat him...

Everyone hypes up cans when "their man" is fighting them.

Just look no further than Eddie as a prime example - Wallin and Ngannou both clowns shows and laughable for Fury but for AJ they're real tests and potential "banana skins".

Wallin will be a gatekeeper for the heavyweight division. A good fight for Wallin will be Wilder or Miller. He is a good tune up opponent for those types of guys who are also coming back from a loss. The way he choked against Joshua was bad. He was a totally different fighter than the one who fought Fury. I wish him luck.

I reckon Wilder would be good here.

To bad Anderson got into trouble, Wallin would be a good name on his resume.

Wallin underperformed against AJ. Not that he had a chance to win, but he must think over his preparation, have one or two "rebuild fights" and aim at some top 10-15. He isn't a bad fighter but doesn't have the necessary to be a champion, which is not a stopper, because he can have a decent career.

Bad time for him to be a free agent. He was primarily known for losing well vs Fury & then he went & lost bad to AJ. That said I do think the Gassiev W was a nice W & hes a HW with some name value so I'm sure he'll get picked up by someone or at a minimum get some offers to fight quality guys on the way up.

If Jared gets his sh^t together Otto would be a good opp for him to fight later this year.

Wallin is still top 20 guy. He can`t beat top guys, but he can beat everybody else. He can still have a decent career, just keep on being active. Fight somebody top 100, than fight somebody top 50. Beat them both, than take on another top 20 level opponent.

Just don`t lose time calling out top guys anymore. He already lost to Fury and Joshua and Zhang, Parker, Hrgovic...have no reason to fight him now.

Wallin is a fair contender, but just that. he must stop behaving like "they must fight me" guy, because he is not the man to beat. When he understands that, he can have a decent career.
