Morell jr had an interview no long ago and was asked what did he think about a berlanga fight. He said he would knock out the guy in less than five rounds. Now, that's what he said, if they fight he might do it or not, but the odds are going yo be in his favor.Comment

Why would they feed a guy who sells more tickets than Morrell to Morrell? Why is all the short list talk we are hearing about Berlanga vs Canelo this year & I'm not sure I've ever heard Morrell vs Canelo mentioned in any serious manner despite him holding the fake WBA belt thats supposed to getting consolidated with Canelo's real WBA belt.

Canelo told them he wanted to fight Berlanga... so they moved Berlanga up to satisfy a mandatory challenge and give the opponent some credibility.
But the backlash was so extreme that the WBA backed off a day or two later and said if he fights Berlanga it doesn't count as a mandatory.
