Its just standard routine unfortunately. Makhmudov at 34 was another example. Or Ortiz at 39 (at least) at the the time of first Wilder fight and 28-0 and considered some killer but had barely fought anyone.

AJ is one of the lesser offenders although i'm not a fan of his level of opposition post-Usyk. Two guys I was critical of Fury for facing, a guy I was critical of Wilder for facing, and Jermaine Franklin.

Half the forum at least if not more thought Franklin defeated Whyte ,only when Joshua announced he was fighting Franklin was it called a cherry pick even though majority admitted to Franklin winning anyway ? They did the same with Wallin all the talk about Joshua avoiding him then that became a cherry pick after the fact he made easy work of him where the entire forum barring myself and maybe 2 others didn’t state it’s a dangerous fight for him .

Now we got Ngannou on deck and I expect nothing less from this forum should Joshua knock Ngannou out in quick fashion, the forum can’t help themselves the majority on here are just programmed robots with the predictability of the sunset rising and falling . Lol

The real azz kicker though is Joshua is allowed to fight Ngannou legally under the actual boxing rules bc he has no belt , I’d like to know how and why Fury himself as the WBC champion received barely any heat when he fought him ? Smh

Whyte is garbage as well though lol. And ive always thought Wallin was a very mediocre fighter who was living off of a Fury win from nearly 5 ****ing years ago.

None of these guys really mix it up with each other consistently enough to get a true measure of where everyone stands, sadly. I do think AJ will deserve credit if he manages to demolish Ngannou though because at the very least Ngannou is a freak athlete with a lot of power and a good chin.
