When Mike questions your heart that hits home I hope Canelo proves to the world he does have the heart and courage to face a young hungry lion but we’ll see

It had nothing to do with the Bivol loss. Canelo has always ducked fights or waited until the opponent was in a very vulnerable position. This is nothing different.

The Benavidez fight would have happened had it all gone to plan for Canelo in seeing Bena looking crippled on the scales and performing poorly. It however, didn't happen. I myself thought it would considering the struggles to make 168 years ago. But no. That's why it isn't happening. Bivol was just a mistake after he thought Bivol looked flat and was there for the taking. Even that fight was made on account of Canelo thinking he was vulnerable. He just had a nasty surprise waiting for him.

Bowe - Lewis was never happening was about money and politics.

They had actually agreed to fight in 1994, but Lewis lost his title defense to McCall.

That was an excuse. There was never going to be a rematch. There's simply no way Spence was going to be ready in time and meanwhile, Crawford COULD have fought. Instead, he wasted months chasing lightweights, super lightweights, middleweights, jr. middleweights and super middleweights - notice, completely ignoring anyone who was a welterweight.

People said "he's moving up, doot doot doot!" - it's been damn near year and he has not done so. Meanwhile the division is held up and Barrios has to take a lesser fight while Keef is getting a marquee 154 name. Why is that good for the business?

I’m a huge Canelo fan, been one since like 2010 or so. But right now he deserves the critique he’s getting for foregoing Benavidez.

I like the Munguia fight but if he doesn’t fight Benavidez in September or some time in 2024, it’s going to be very difficult for any fan of his to defend that.

And realistically, because of Benavidez’s age, Canelo can fight him in 2025. The problem is Canelo is risking fighting Benavidez while old and past prime. If he fights him now, Canelo can still be too talented and too skilled for DB while at the perfect age for one last good name on his resume.

And Canelo has fought a heck of a lot of great boxers, and his critics don’t give him credit for it. That’s why i’m a fan, because he isn’t afraid of anyone. He’s fought everyone. But right now he’s doing the opposite of what he did to make me a fan.

Again, I love the Munguia fight. I really do. I think it will be a fun 12 rounder and it will be physically grueling for Canelo. He will get pushed for sure. But the hate over not fighting Benavidez yet, and having no plans to, is well deserved unfortunately.

Tyson didn't lack heart!? He literally bites people when fights get tough for a way out or stays on the deck when he can clearly get up but chooses not to.

Because he can't be arsed with a little resistance coming back his way.

He's almost the definition of lack of heart, any fight where the slightest of resistance happened for him he capitulated.

Well, when Iron Mike calls you out for ducking, there is no escaping that conversation anywhere in the world. Canelo is an embarrassment everywhere now.

Don't think he's afraid of losing. He's afraid of getting knocked out. Callum Smith, BJS, Plant, and Bivol were all good boxers with limited KO power.

Benavidez is a KO risk. Canelo has avoided those types of fighters.
