The decline German boxing was pretty rapid. Went from having multiple world champs based there and fighting regularly in front of good sized crowds to basically nothing.

There hasn’t been a solid German fighter since the days of maske, Schulz, the rochigianis, and ottke. Even many of the others on the German scene were poles and Ukrainians. I wonder what’s happened to the German amateur program
