For some reason I can't upload a compilation gif I created of Ryan Garcia's facial twitches the last couple of weeks, but I believe there is a strong possibility that the fight won't be happening (or will be a farce)

The twitching is quite severe. He doesn't seem to have total control over his lower mouth therefore the mumbling. Combined with the voice change, the incoherent religious babbling, sudden angry outbursts like the one directed at someone in the crowd at the press conference.
And if you need further confirmation... take a look at his social media the last day or two.
Just totally unhinged, from talking about how he is visualizing becoming a billionaire in really weird writing to calling out his ex that he wants to come back to her...

I am starting to have doubts if it's just alcohol, weed/coke.
He might have some brain / neurological damage with the voice change, twitches and erratic behaviour.

Saw a comment about Garcia's family, they rather see the Ryan gravy train derail and crash than stop it. Sounds about right
I mean, can't they tell something is REALLY WRONG?!?


I also have to question Derrick James.
Spence was also a very undisciplined fighter who drank a lot etc.
DJ doesn't seem to mind/care about what his fighters do or in what physical or mental state they are in just as long as they do the work in the gym.

Jake Paul said he had better footwork than Ryan Garcia. A highly decorated elite level amateur boxer.

I respect that Jake Paul seems to have dedicated himself to the sport of boxing and is fighting professionally and sparring hundreds of rounds.

But...

Hearing him speak about boxing is like hearing Britney Spears talking about music. You just want it to stop immediately..

Ryan Garcia could probably give up 40 pounds to Jake and beat him.

I can't see that in Haney in terms of not being a pro.

He seems like the type of bloke you'd dread being caught in a lift with because he' seems like a dull man.

With his sort of style I'd imagine being relaxed and fully confident in victory would suit him and help him trust his process and not overthink it.

Let the kid live, he’s prob got a little anxiety and he’s coping w it different ways. He isn’t the first or last boxer to self medicate to get by like this, he’s just immature so maybe it shows more. not a lot of sports require their stars to do constant theater in order to have a career - it’s kind of ridiculous tbh and certainly not for everyone.

Paul has been barely advertising his last few "fights", taking on these random tomato cans and paying them to dive. hes in the padding his record phase until the next cash out fight.



think about it, up through nate diaz, all his fights have been heavily marketed now he has taken some rando in december never marketed it and some random american he brought down to puerto rico, why doesnt he want people to watch these fights all of a sudden? maybe if they look too closely they will see these guys dived.

He’s on the pro-circuit. All fighters have done this to gain experience. When he’s gotten enough he’ll face a rated contender. This how fighters become world champions.
