And look Morrell is clearly a bad mfer, but **** measuring him vs Benavidez years ago when he was a teenager means nothing today when Morrell is in his mid 20s. Morrell is one year younger than Benavidez but more than a year behind him in accomplishments still. It is what it is.
I agree with you with Benavides achievements, he was well managed even tho was a bit messy with the weed and weight before, now he seems focus and i love to see him fight, i want he and Morrell both to be greatCubanGuyNYC likes this.

Idk wtf some of you guys are on acting like Morrell did it already. Hes got a fake belt. Hes fought guys ranked in the top 30-50 on boxrec mostly. Bek the Bully, #12 on boxrec & probably a guy just shy of the top ten for TBRB &/or Ring rankings, is his best opp by a undisputable mile.
And I'm expecting him to fook up Bek's day but y'all giving Morrell flowers he ain't earned yet by acting like hes fought real guys for a top 5 guy.

He needs a top30 opponent like folks here mentioned. Or if that doesn't work, try to find someone with a name who is past it to generate some buzz. How about the same Gvozdyk that Benavidez is rumored to fight? Maybe Dervy, or Plant? Eubank or Jermall?
Just not another WBA warrior with a "high" ranking but are actually nobodies. Don't think any of his opponents fought in a 12 round fight before.

As long as he's having easy nights at the office, he should try to fight every 3 months so he's less likely to leave the audience's collective conscious. If every three months, he beating someone up in a few rounds...the audience will start asking, "Why isn't he getting tougher opponents"? That's when his development of a social media presence becomes important because he can continue to apply pressure on the more popular names outside of his in-ring performances. The fans will start demanding that Morrell get better opposition.kiaba360 likes this.
