Now Don King wants to get off his ass and promote all of a sudden? Come on! His fighters have been sitting on the shelf all year and now he wants to open his big mouth about something. He should have done this a long time ago when Collazo and Berto fought the first time. HBO his fighting like hell to make the Juan Diaz-Paul Malignaggi rematch and that fight wasn't nearly as good, as controversial, or as close as Berto-Collazo. I like Collazo, he's a good fighter but right now he should be looking at fighting Isaac Hlaschwayo for the IBF title or even looking for a fight against Margarito once he returns next year. Collazo has to get his name out there and fighting Margarito or getting a title is the best way to do that right now. Then a rematch with either Mosley or Berto would be more appealing because he would bring something more than a tough fight.

Let them strip him of the belt. Mosley-Berto is the better fight and would prove much more. Berto can rematch Collazo later.

Shane wouldn't have to worry about this if he hadn't been sitting on his ass hoping to land a big fight with one of the current cash cows. If he had already committed to fighting Berto, it wouldn't have been an issue. If he would have tried to fight Berto in May, he would have been in a much better position to command a bigger fight with Mayweather or the Cotto/Pacquiao winner.

**** Judah, and he's fighting at 140 again not 147.

I don`t know... Does King have enough influence to prevent Mosley/Berto from happening?

I would like this fight to be a unification bout, cause that would leave less belts for other "champs" to pick them up, and that would improve winner`s legacy!

Good to see someone knows what it do. Collazo needs to fight better opponents when he is ranked high by a sanctioning body. That is something that he never does, and then complains when fighters don't look his way.

It's not just him and, to be fair, he's gotten a few bad breaks. Fighters like Zab Judah who fall into TV date after TV date are a bit more disconcerting.

Collazo shoots himself in the foot

the worst break I can think of for Collazo was vs Mosley (no pun intended as Luis did break his thumb in that fight)

this post is on point ^ as besides Berto .. look who Collazo has taken on as of late.

his last fight was vs a guy with a record well under .500 in 9-16

his first fight back after the Mosley loss was vs a guy with a 9-4 record

and before taking on Berto he fought Russell Jordan (now 15-6)

I mean come the freak on, I can understand what you say regarding it isn't just him who takes on weak opposition

but taking into consideration Collazo's high ranking that's inexcusable.

and now he gets his promoter Don King to cry for a rematch

                  pathetic.

why did they postpone the purse bid?..
                    that wasn't right..

everyone would rather see berto vs mosely, they wan't to see berto get knocked out.
but this is not fair to collazo..
he was the mandatory.. he should fight berto or berto lose the belt..

Collazo priced himself out of the fight and has done jack **** while being ranked by the WBC except for sitting on his ranking. Mosley deserves to be a unified titlist if he beats Berto. I don't care about Collazo's alleged thumb injury he still got his ass taxed by Shane. I thought Berto beat him fair and square too even though it was closer. Collazo was cut over his eye and he was getting tagged by body shots in the last two rounds when the fight was up for grabs. If you are rooting for the WBC title to become vacant then you are just being an advocate of Don King's shady agenda.
