Well with the WBA confirming that Berlanga is now Morrells mandatory and not Canelos that should put an end to that fight. How did no one know this before the McCrory fight? Eddie Hearn definitely didn't. Or maybe he did.....

Anyway Benevidez is in a strong position. The WBC should be confirming him as mandatory this month which should mean it's the fight for September. Needs to fight around the same time as Canelo though to finish his own 3 fight contract with PBC. Doesn't need any existing contractual complications getting in the way. And then based on the $60m valuation Benevidez would be entitled to $18m-$24m.

There is no ppv in mexico though. Munguia does not speak English and has no notable fights ever. He is nobody in the US where it counts. I don't think the ppv will be that big.

I have to hand it to GBP, Zanfer and the rest of Munguia's team. They managed to keep Jamie busy and mitigated risk for five years to get him to this cash-out. Any notable name on that list was fought when they were well past their prime and very shopworn.

On the surface, Munguia has it all: impressive undefeated record, Mexican, all action style, etc. He's still not that good, gets hit too clean. The proverbial calf has been fattened up enough for the slaughter.

You forgot Liam Smith and Tureano Johnson lol. Munguia has a bunch of C-level guys with some B's sprinkled in, but has yet to face a potential A-level guy....and he's supposed to have a chance against an A+ level in Canelo? Idk about that.

I don`t get that logic. When fighters fight, their resumes don`t fight. Fury`s best win before Klitschko was probably Cunnungham, but he still beat Klitschko.

Some guys rise to the occasion when they get the right chance.

At the end of the day, Canelo`s resume is also full of Liam Smiths, Fieldings, blown up old Mosley, Khans..

And, is Munguia`s resume any worse than Benavidez˙s? But Benavidez that beat Andrade and Plant is some kind of boogeyman and all guys here demand canelo to fight him?
