Exactly. Some people are totally clueless or they just don't think before they post such ridiculous, erroneous comments.

Not ripping him but even choosing to forget the controversies he's never looked like a world level fighter.

Danny Garcia hasn't fought for ages so unless Benn gets knocked out he's gonna be able to outwork him.

Benn's acid test is Avenesyan. If he did a job on him then people would reevaluate his ability.
Yeah but Benn will never fight him. Even if he wanted the fight, Eddie wouldn't allow Benn to be cashed out on a fighter who doesn't have a high profile and isn't a big ticket seller.

Ryan Garcia at 147 is probably more likely once Garcia loses to Haney.

Hearn is sounding more and more like Benn’s drug dealer than his promoter. Either that or he must be deep in Benn’s pockets. Never seen any promoter push so hard for a drug cheat. Something’s up!

Seems the exodus is starting from PBC to the other side of the street. Matias signing with Hearn was unexpected. Who is next? Brandun Lee should start packing.

The ban/suspension has already been lifted. I don't understand how you're not grasping that.

He had his hearing with the UKAD and thus the BBBoC and he WON. They have now appealed that loss which they will more than likely lose again.

So no, you're misinformed on that, again.

Yeah I agree really but it is why you can't really get excited about Benn.

He has the look of someone who skips through the levels and then gets decimated at world level. I don't even know what titles he's won, doesnt seem like he's even won an English title.

If this was 2001 Conor Benn has WBU title holder written all over him. It isnt his fault because he's game but the perception from the matchmaker is hard to read any other way than they don't think he is particularly good.

                Eubank Jr was the cashout

That's a short list, but I'm glad you responded that way because who could discredit a fighter by citing those opponents? DSG was clearly a better JWW than WW, but again he competed with and beat most of the best fighters in 2 of the deepest divisions in the sport. You mention some of the big name fighters on his resume, but he also beat Lamont Peterson, Lucas Matthysse, Kendall Holt, Mauricio Herrera and many other name fighters, but that's precisely how a fighter builds their resume and drawing power. Fighters who don't cherry pick faded former champions and instead fight the fresher contenders of the day end up dealing with the criticism that fighters like GGG deal with. I was a fan of DSG, but when he was coming up I did criticize him early on for seeming to target faded name fighters (e.g. Nate Campbell, Morales). Because of this I wondered if he really was as good as advertised. IMO, over the course of his career, he very much proved himself to be an elite champion because of his many great performances, both in victory and defeat.

The fact that fans can be so dismissive of a fighter of Danny Garcia's caliber and resume makes it clear to me that there is just no winning with the current generation. I spent multiple days arguing with some other guy recently about the quality and status of GGG. This guy insisted and really seems to believe in his heart that GGG was a fraud and fabrication of the media, when, in fact, he is a Top 5 MW of all time and a sure-fire 1st ballot HOF entrant in a few years. According to GGG's critics, he can't be considered great because his resume is too thin with other 'great' fighters and he couldn't (officially) beat the one HOF fighter that he did fight. The reality is that most fights fans regularly confuse 'great' with 'popular.' GGG has a record 20 defenses against all top ranked contenders (Top 10 or better) so they were the best challengers in his era. Danny Garcia's resume looks completely different from GGG's because its littered with name fighters (some past their peak prime). Were these fighters measurably better than GGG's top ranked contenders? Who knows, but it doesn't matter because he there will always be fans out there, inclined to look for faults and wrinkles, who will find some way to discredit the achievements of the best fighters in every division of the sport.

If the Garcia fight falls through , Hearn can always dig up a corpse from Westminster Abbey and have it fight Benn.

Jaron Ennis wants no part of Benn, brotha, even loong before the ped thing. Easy money, easy fight but want no part of it. Waiting around doing nothing is much easier.
