I watched the same fight, there's no way canelo won 9 rounds and he was throwing bombs to the air. A draw would have been controversial but a least wouldn't have a lost. Definitely not a win for canelo. He never mentioned Lara again nor fought another elite or world level boxer until he thought ggg was done. Then he believed in his own hype and went for glory against another elite fighter in bivol.

Golovkin was one of the best fighters in the world P4P at that time and he beat him. It's a better win than beating Danny Lopez, that's not debatable.
