he didnt deserve the 3rd fight with pac tho if you wanna be honest.. he was chasing the money just like what he's accusing canelo of doing.

Legacy? Honor? Reputation? Canelo still has a chance to cement himself as one of the premiere ATGs. You can't do that fighting mediocre fighters and euro-trash.

        My biased fan comment/prediction lol:

Canelo said 3 fights. Crawford then the rematch (Canelo will have that clause). 3rd fight will be Berlanga to go out with a win and a KO.

Deserve's got nothing to do with it. He fought the top guy in the divison 3 times. He's accusing Canelo of going after crappier fights for money ie: Berlanga over Benavidez. Very different.

And to be perfectly fair, if you're mad about the third fight happening you should blame Pacquaio not Bradley. if Bradley didn't deserve it, then Pac shouldn't have given it to him. Tim Bradley was not an A side.

            Canelo Will Follow the Money

And all roads lead away from David Benavidez
            and Terence Crawford.

Take a look at Inoue's career sometime. Never ducked anyone, literally signed a contract never to take an easy fight, and uses his cash cow status in Japan to give the top guys a career high payday to make the biggest fights. Half his fights have been against world champions ranked in the top 10, most in the top 4, and 80+% of his career is title fights. He's fought the top guy in the division in his divisional debut 3 times. No catchweights, no rehydration clauses, no cherry picking. No popping positive for PEDs. That's what it looks like when you're really daring to be great...

that's the thing, at this point in this career, his legacy has already been set in stone... there is not much he can do now to further boost his legacy up so now it's time to start collecting the big checks!! that's why boxers work hard early on in their career to enjoy the fruits of their labor. we as fans have to respect this!! If we were put in their situation, we would do the same! Low risk high reward is what all of us would be going for.

when he fought pac for the 3rd time.. pac technically wasnt the top guy anymore either... pac was just holding onto his name when the 3rd fight happened with bradley. pac already loss to floyd so his name was already on the decline. at that point, pac was a low risk high reward type fight for bradley.... there were other guys at 147 that bradley could have fought but he chased after pac for that big money!

This. The real thing that makes people "hate" Canelo is the constant talk of chasing greatness, all timer, how he is challenging himself, etc. None of that is true and it is obvious, but his fanbase are just blind to it.

He is a really good fighter who aged people out, cherrypicked and ducked mandatories. He never looked great when he faced really good comp. Yet he talks all of the legacy and greatness nonsense.

Apparently according to some boxing fans, all of that stuff makes for a smarter fighter because he is getting more money. And that is fine. But his "legacy" will be a cherrypicking, pompous little guy who got a bunch of dirty decisions because he is the A side. Yep he has millions. But HE is the one always talking about "chasing greatness". He brings the hate on himself by bull****ting so much.

Unfortunately Inoue is a total outier these days, the exception that proves the rule.
