Lets see, 2 recent good wins( not even morrell/mbilli has those) ,undefeated mexican with come forward agressive style ,yeah it would be an entertaining fight to say the least ...Mungia aint Charlo.
Why is it a good fight? Because he went life and death with Derevyanchenko? Because he beat Ryder? He's got power and a chin at least. I will say it would be entertaining to watch him vs Berlanga or Mbilli, and I think he gets wrecked by Morrell, let alone Benavidez or Alvarez, but it will be all action until then. Is that what you mean?Comment

Save your breath bro.It is beyond belief how pbc,a promotional outfit, apparently has a cult like following. They've lost their common sense and facts mean nothing to them. If Canelo gets his bag he'll fight anybody. But no money in escrow? No fight. The exact thing Money Mayweather would do. So it would be nice if some people kept the same energy but we know that ain't happening.
You don't get it, friend, this drama is not about Canelo, it is about the demise of the PBC business model which has lost $900 million in the last nine years. The real story is what is going to happen to the 150 boxers signed to PBC. Canelo and the few multi-million dollar PBC fighters will land on their feet. The many other PBC fighters will probably experience hard times. Parenthetically, whether or not I am an idiot is up for debate.Comment

I think he ducked margs to fight gatti iirc and the marg offer was 10M(at the time career high for mayweather) and he took 8M to fight gatti

I much prefer Canelo vs Munguia to Canelo vs Charlo. It’s a better, more entertaining fight.
You gotta figure Amazon Prime isn’t too happy with PBC right about now. Without Canelo what do they really bring to the table? Tank Davis vs Frank Martin? Tim Tszyu vs Keith Thurman?

Bob Arum offered Floyd $8 million to fight Margarito.
Floyd bought out his contract and fought Carlos Baldomir for $8 million plus $1.
This set up the De La Hoya fight which Arum didn’t want to pay Floyd $20 million for. But that is how much he got for that bout, without Arum.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 02-26-2024, 09:46 PM.Comment
