Berlanga signed with Dazn to get Canelo fight only. It seemed to be a smart move than, because there was no talk about Canelo leaving Dazn for PBC.

Although most of us would prefer Benavediz getting the shot.
      McCrory WAS a step up.

Bum****a was fighting the C-Level. McCrory is (even now) the B minus level.

As opposed to fighting American bums which is what he's mostly done?

I am not exactly sure what your basis is, other than the age of some of Berlanga's opponents but Rolls, Nicholson, and Quigley do not seem much different from McCrory. Who has he beaten that is remotely a name? Just asking.

That is true. Where will he find the most competitive competition or the path of least resistance?

Definitely the US. Saunders was winning until he got caught by a one in a million eye shot to bring the fight to an end. Ryder gave him a tough fight even though he was a clearly past his best fringe level fighter. Callum was only given 3 weeks of training so that isn't a a fair reflection on him. The only bum was Fielding. But Canelo still had to drain him by contract.
