Miguel Cotto is the most accomplished Welterweight of this era.

Miguel cotto has victories over Shane Mosley, Joshua Clottey, Zab Judah, carlos Quintana, Alphonso Gomez, etc. All of those guys were top ten WW's at the time. Migs has one loss, and that loss is tainted because of Margarito's cheating revelation.

An argument can be made for Shane Mosley, but Miguel beat Shane straight-up. And clearly. So that argument is quickly wiped away.

If Shane wins a rematch from miguel, he can take that spot.

You get more credit AT WELTERWEIGHT for beating Gomez, than you do for beating vargas and Mayorga at 154.

maybe youre confused at to what went down last year let me refresh your memory, cotto lost brutally to margarito, mosley brutally kod margarito taking the ,cotto has a stellar record but is no longer the same cotto he was when he beat mosley,im not taking anything away from cotto but as things stand now mosley is at a level above cotto ,he would ko this version of cotto,that much is clear,he lost to clottey but got a gift decision to set up the pac fight,aint nobody gonna tell me cotto won after taking close to 80 more pwer punches to the head.mosley is the best welter at the moment not cotto.
