I actually really like Canelo as a fighter, so dont think i’m hating. But if anyone thinks Canelos next few fight choices will change the narative around him is fooling themselves.

He’s been doing this his whole career, his 5 or 6 biggest named opponents were all on the wrong side of 35. Heck, he literally ‘marinated’ GGG into that. And yet, had Bivol not clearly won the 12th round thered still be talk about him being an ATG top 20 ever.

GBP did a heck of a job building up the brand against old big names. And there are enough out there who want to hold on to that idea that they will ignore the facts about hus resume.

Canelo MUST choose the best opponent next or the boxing world will look down on him. Something tells me he will not choose the best opponent and will rightfully get character assassinated.
