Reynoso should stick to his job as a trainer and leave it at that. I think Reynoso has a certain style of a fighter that he likes Canelo to fight. Benavidez doesn't fit that style because deep down Reynoso knows that Benavidez can expose other issues in Canelo that go far beyond beating him. I don't think that Canelo is afraid of Benavidez but his handlers are. Reynoso has a lot of power and authority in Canelo's camp and that is sad. Reynoso needs to be put in his place. He is obviously getting agitated with the boxing public of accusing Canelo of being scared to fight Benavidez.

If Canelo had any integrity as a fighter he would address the criticism aimed at him for not fighting Benavidez who has been the mandatory WBC super middleweight challenger for a number of years now. He would address it directly without that idiot Reynoso speaking on his behalf.

I would have a lot more respect for Canelo if he just came out and said that he doesn't want to fight Benavidez because he's too big and too young. Canelo is only 5'8 and has a lot of miles on him. It's a big ask of him to fight a guy with Benavidez s' advantages. Then again , Canelo is the Undisputed Champion at 168. If you aren't willing to at least fulfill your obligations to fight your mandatories , you should be stripped of your titles. It's not complicated, at least it shouldn't be.

Canelo seriously needs to fight Benavidez now for two reasons, one because it’s an easy winnable fight, two, to shut all these morons up crying that Canelo is ducking.
