Nelo just waiting for Benevidez to become more scary. If Benevidez wins a fight at175lb, he might be favourite to beat nelo, who knows? Then Nelo will want to fight Benevidez maybe? WHo knows? Benevidez should take some responsibility. Why is Benevidez underdog against Nelo? Benevidez obviously isnt scary enough at the moment, and Nelo might not get the credit he deserves.

I totally agree. It's a sad bi-product of the modern society and culture we live in. If you make the most money, you are automatically worshipped, regardless of your actions or how deplorable or unethical they may be. There is no integrity, ethics or moral standard anymore. Reynoso is an enabling Yes man. He is now playing the role of matchmaker. He KNOWS that Canelo has SEVERE LIMITATIONS as a fighter and that in this era of watered down mere title belt holders, and a willing fanbase who will suck up whatever he and The Golden goose say, They can continue to fight set up fights. Canelo has been doing it his ENTIRE career.
The truth is Benavides is EVERYTHING that Canelo has consistently avoided. He's
YOUNG, in his PRIME, Can HIT with real shock power , has a gas tank and a Half, ultra aggressive and Actually gets better as the fight goes on. No fading. He is on an impressive win streak. No mental problems, long stretches of inactivity. And now he has shown improvement on his defense. I seriously doubt that this fight will ever happen for all the reasons above. In fact I predict it will not happen. The man has been waiting over 2 years. Canelo pulled this stunt with Charlo, Andrade, a more PRIME Golovkin and the WBC continues to wash his backside for him by letting this go on.

Mandatory since 2021. There's something really wrong about that. Why even have mandatory status if it's not going to be enforced ? The way that I see it , if you don't fight your mandatories within a reasonable time frame you should be stripped. No matter who you are. Titles are being held hostage .
