Jo JO would always come up short or miss weight or things of that nature is how i think of him. But not Oscar he is not a Jo Jo .................Maybe i read it wrong maybe a lot of things............
    No, you're not misreading.

When I say "another JoJo Diaz" I'm not referring to outside of the ring OR skill. I'm referring to the failure to show up on the night and a pattern of that failure - for whatever reason.

Again, Valdez left it ALL in the ring against Navarette and looked like a rookie against Shakur (and should NOT have, because we think Valdez has more skill than he showed).

O K so you think he is done ? Right ? That is fine you could be right you could be wrong just like me sometimes a lot of times that is how the sport of boxing goes. Eight ball in the side pocket sometimes to goes in other times it slices....... When he fights again and again bc there are at least two left in him even if he comes up short then and only then will we know for sure. A lot goes into preparing for a fight and carry out your plan so time and time in the ring will tell the most. I seem to remember him going at it in more of an aggrssive stance with Nav like he had something to prove to himself not so much that Nav made him do it. So Sure i will have to watch again but sure he looked bad__> one time he looked bad bc of his approach in the ring the second just looked lost ? I dont know it was a lousy fight all the way around. Is So Sure done bc of his last fight ? Dont think so.........dont like him i do beleive it showed more of what he really is then what typist like to describe him as so there is that too...........Enjoy the fights this weekend ? Body work pays off and pays off handsomely ................

Oscar SHOULD BE twice the warrior that JoJo is.

Oscar AGAINST NAVARETTE was twice the warrior that JoJo was.

But let's be honest with ourselves. Because you're ignoring what you saw when Oscar fought Shakur Stevenson - which is a guy nullified by a jab all night long and basically pulling a Broner with a high guard and not being an aggressor. He was NOT a warrior that night.

Oscar talking about Morales - Morales went down swinging in all but the one fight where he (basically) quit against Manny, and even there Morales was tossing leather all the way up until he got dropped for that last time. I can't think of a single Morales fight where he sat there in front of his opponent with a high guard.

Valdez prior to meeting Shakur was an aggressor. If he doesn't get back to that, he will basically be another JoJo Diaz. Because it means like with Teofimo, any boxer with skill will tame him. And that's not going to get him title shots.

I keep going back to John Ryder (who NSB trashes as a bum) - this guy is a warrior. Every night out. And as a result he gets big fights.

It's not that you lose. It's that you leave in the ring and give fans a reason to bother.
