WOW, i'm just as shocked as all of you.

this seemed like a routine defense and this dude came out storm trooper style and blitzed Linares.

I won't write him off cuz' 1 loss ain't ****, but Salgado looks pretty damn good himself.

i think linares is good,but i always thought once he got in with a puncher,soemone not afraid of him would knock him down...zorrita soto type of guy,take and give...not surprised here.

i believe this was Linares last fight with his old promoter or something and the next fight was gonna be with GBP, hopefully they bring him back up correctly and not *** him up.

Wow i'm still shocked cos i thought Linares was a tough enough guy. I really hope he comes back from this because we really need these young fighters to come through and carry boxing in years time when todays fighters are retired. Linares just signed with GBP and had a fairly long layoff so I'm just wondering Joan Guzman just signed with GBP and has had a bit of a layoff and he's coming back against a very tough opponent IMO. I think Funeka is a stylistic nightmare for Guzman, tall, cagey throws tons of punches and i don't feel Guzman has the power to keep Funeka off him. Joan will have to be at his best to win this one. So for GBP Ortiz lost his unbeaten record, now linares lost his so it would be a disaster for GBP if Guzman lost his in his next fight.
