TRT is incredibly common, I dont know why you think its "ego tripping" I know two guys with office jobs one 30s and one 60 that are on TRT. You just go to the right doctor and tell them youre tired all the time and they measure your results if its low they will prescribe you.

Plus you realize this guy was 1. a pro athelete who probably cycled in the past and potentially jacked up his natural production and 2. was obese for a long time which raises estrogen and lowers testosterone, he could very likely have had low testosterone.
