Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley on Lopez Win: Ortiz Controlled Every Aspect of the Fight; Problem Was, Jamaine's Name Isn't Sugar Ray Leonard

Timothy Bradley doesn't believe Teofimo Lopez should have had his hands raised last Thursday night. Lopez, the former unified lightweight champion from Brooklyn, New York, successfully defended his WBO 140-pound title against Jamaine Ortiz at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, but neither fighter likely gained any fans after a 12-round bout lambasted by most observers and fans for being relentlessly boring. The scores were 115-113, 115-113, and 117-111, all in favor of Lopez.

I think he means his name isn't "Shakur stevenson" I like Tim but his obvious skin color bias comes out at times

I see Tim’s point but I’m getting sick of this dude using the platform to throw shade on Lopez. Stop giving him a mic. From a historical standpoint, Lopez is beating the right guys and rightly should’ve gotten undisputed at LW but due to a technicality, didn’t. It’s time to move up and call out Bradley

Well then, I think it's about that time for Boxing rules to be updated and allow scoring based on damage too.

and Bradley didn't rob anyone. The judges did but I agree he definitely lost against pacquiao in there first right but the Provo fight that was close either guy could of got that

I get what Bradley's saying. Ortiz isn't an A-side fighter so he isn't gonna get the rub of the green against someone like teofimo but that's why he should of stepped it up a bit in the later rounds. He probably knew going in that he was the B-side fighter and I'm not saying it's right that guys can't box like the way he did and get the win against the champion but that's the way it seems to be so abit more from ortiz instead of just coasting he could of bagged a couple more rounds and gotta split decision because two judges had it 115-113. Maxi Hughes and jack catterall beat kambosos and Taylor alot more comfortably imo than Ortiz beat teofimo and they didn't get the decision on these top rank shows
