Look at the rankings. The rules say the IBF go down the list and request the top two available contenders will fight an eliminator. Three of the four guys rated above Karen are American. Looks like they all turned down the shot, probably because they're too busy talking crap on social media.

Think Crowley is WBC interim and Spence is injured. Dunno about the others

I believe Santillan has a fight booked, I think I covered him two weeks ago on the show. Edit: apparently he's trying to get Barrios in the ring. Tried to get Ortiz but Ortiz moved up.

Right now Barrios is being targeted by Stankonia, Crowley, Boots, Santillan and Conor Benn. Barrios has indicated that he wants to fight Boots. So basically you have a lot of guys held up trying to get Barrios after he destroyed Ugas.

Sasaki…I think he’s new to the ranking. Edit: apparently injured

Villa I think wasn’t going to be ready in time.

Scarff is actually a decent good fighter and Chukhadzian is not likely to be as mobile because Scarff doesn’t have the same speed or power that Boots has. It’s a decent good fight on paper.

Any idea who may stump up the cash for the fight? Are either with any of the bigger promoters?

Sasaki had a major shoulder surgery last summer and is not planning to fight until this summer including rehab.

Chukhadzian is with a small regional outfit. Scarff I believe is Queensberry, Frank Warren promoted the Essuman fight. Don't know for sure, Scarff might also be regional and just partnered up with them.

So far as money? That's a very good question. Apparently it's going to purse bid. Senchenko (the guy that retired Ricky Hatton and is now retired working as a coach) is in Chukhadzian's corner. According to him it's not a done deal yet. So there could still be some shift.
