Depends on the fighter, Marco Antonio Barrera wasn't particularly the biggest puncher and went 12 rounds, but the guy was a complete text-book boxer that threw a lot of unorthodox combinations. When I rewatched some fights of his fights I was surprised to see him throw uppercut in disguise of a body punch like Vaquero Navarrete does and throw consecutive piston like jabs, like he landed with Naseem Hamed.

I find Devin Haney and Dmitry Bivol entertaining depending on who they are fighting. Mostly top level fighters.

I like a violent brawl as much as anyone but I also appreciate displays of slick boxing. I think a high-stakes chess match between two snipers is tense fun, when either guy can snuff the other out with one well placed shot. I think the best is when you have a nice contrast of styles that provides ebb and flow in a fight.

Clinch if you’re hurt or to halt the opponent’s offense. But don’t go Sergio Mora on us by pythoning fans to boredom

If Porter was a natural puncher he would have been unstoppable

i just want to see the best fight the best (or at least fights that are evenly matched) and minimal clinching/holding. i enjoy a fighter like crawford that can do a bit of everything. a fight that ended in knockout that was super painful for me to watch was the first mosley vs mayorga fight. nice knockout at the end and nobody was running around trying to win the decision, but it was just very sloppy and difficult to enjoy. i would rather see a fight like ortiz vs lopez than something along those lines

i thought he got outboxed pretty clearly by ugas 9-3 or so. even if he was a natural puncher, and he very well may be, he smothers his work with that style

Sluggers and dudes that go to war easily. I don't mind a slicker dirty fighter as long as he brings punishment like a bhop or ward. But guys that just run and jab are boring.
