Did you miss the part where i said sometimes it makes sense? Khan wasn't a LM so didn't want it all the way up. Brook wasn't a WW any more... So? Yeah, they had a catchweight. That's different to someone doing so to gain an advantage over their opponent. You know, like they love to do in the US.

All true which makes my premise look really great. Catch weights have been a part of boxing since the beginning of boxing. It's just that some posters like Sid-bytch only has disgust for those type of fights when a certain promoter does them.

The whole point of this was down to your disgust at Matias going over to Matchroom and claiming he didn't have any fights over there. You wanted him to go over to PBC even though there isn't anything going on over there. Matchroom actually has fights for him against fighters who will take him on. I mean, why did Haymon offer up Welters when as you say there is Russell there at his own weight? Matias wouldn't turn that fight down. But someone clearly did. It's not like there isn't a world title on the line either. So why isn't Russell looking for that fight and calling him out?

Therefore, it's clear there is nothing over at PBC. What you're saying is in fact, preposterous. Just like it always is.

But you stay sensitive with limp wrists about Eddie and Matchroom. It's hilarious. I wouldn't mind if you had actual rational for it all. But you don't. Lets take a trip down memory lane......Sugar Ray vs Tommy Hearns ll was a catch weight at 164 for Ray's 168 belt after he knocked out Donny Lalonde and Tommy's WBO 160lb strap..... Mickey Ward (lightweight) vs Autoro Gatti (welterweight) fought at a catchweight of 142lb .... Hopkins vs Pavlik fought at 170lb catch weight .... Pacman made Margarito (154lb) champ boil down to 150lbs tofight and also made de la hoya boil back down to WW to fight at a catchweight.... Kell Brook made Amir Khan shrink down to an uncomfortable catch weight of 149lb to fight. If you're insinuating that catchweights started with PBC then you have the same boxing knowledge as that guy who said the other night that he didn't start watching boxing until 2006 when Paquiao burst on the scene. You guys are tooooo easy mane.....doeeee!!!

You got me messed up if you think I’m some casual haha. Catchweights always been in Boxing thanks for educating me on something I already knew about. My point was these PBC catchweights fantasy fights are out of nowhere and nobody asked for them. All those catchweight fights you mention were significant and meant something. Fights like Canelo-Charlo, Tank-Barrios and this proposed Ennis-Matias doesn’t add up and nobody ask for it. Not a fanboy of networks and promotional outfits but it seem PBC are running out of ideas and they desperately need some more stars.
