Why did ennis switch to IBF when he was about to be Bud’s mando WBO ?

How's this? Why did he have to give up the WBO? Can't both mando co-exist? Then wait for the one that is ordered. Any rule they can't co-exist?

If I’m not mistaken he was to fight one last fight to become mando for WBO but decided to go another route on his own decision
His last two fights against Karen and Villa were for the IBF interim title which would mean he wouldn’t face Bud
Once Bud won against Spence , he grabbed the IBF title along with his WBO
The IBF decided that Bud had to defend the INF title in a turnaround not seen quite often and thus getting stripped and Boots being awarded the IBF title
This knowing full well that Bud was already signed for the rematch with Spence and the story goes on

That was jusy an excuse for email ennis to duck Crawford lmao

Its hard to sympathize with some fighters making really bad decisions on locking themselves with bad promoters.

If they truly back themselves they don’t need to sign multi year agreements with rights to extension etc. It seems some fighters go with weaker promoters under the illusion that they keep control and mostly for quick money.

I sympathize a bit with someone who gets in bad situations with major promoters like Top Rank but still if someone backs themselves they could take route Haney has taken with tight time bound contracts - its high risk but seriously at this level they are financially set for life so why so greedy for extra zeros. Can’t claim to want legacy and choose $$$ in same breath.

Ennis could be a potential ATG but it means nothing without ability to make smart career choices.

you're confusing 2 different time periods. Ennis was offered the Crawford fight 2 times BEFORE Bud fought Spence. And Bud got stripped NOW because he is obligated by contract to the Spence rematch, so he legally could not enter negotiations with Ennis for the IBF title defense.......

This is the team who claims to want three to four fights a year? Doesn't make any sense and the math doesn't add up.
These guys may say publicly that they wanna/would fight Boots, but that's VERY different than sending Boots and his people a contract. U think if any of these dudes u mentioned and team sent a real offer to Boots, that he'd turn it down? If you think Boots would avoid anyone, ur crazy. You would think he's be getting flooded with real offers, real contracts, since if u beat him, u become a champion. But hell no, no one sends him offers, because no one really genuinely wants to make a real effort to make a fight with him happen.
