I don't believe Bivol will stand in front of Artur and trade like Gvozdyk did. That was a mistake. It may be difficult for Beterbiev to land the kinds of body shots that he needs to in order to take Bivol's legs away. But I have seen Dmitri buzzed. If Artur catches him, it could mean trouble.
Am I the only one that finds Beterbiev a little overrated?

I think Beterbiev has many things to over come here, as I said. I think Bivol beats him. I think Bivol will be too fast.

But if Beterbiev can win by a KO, I am fine with that scenario also. That would mean he is much better than I thought.Comment

Hey Jakey Boy funny thing occurred the other day
I came across one of your posts in 2021
Funny enough , there you were praising Beterbiev like he was the greatest thing since sliced bread
See the funny thing is when you post on a forum , the post will be there long after you have come and gone
But now you say he’s overrated lmfao
Told you I thought you were full of chit and YOUR post proves it
Bivol my balls
Any reason why you would post that Beterbiev is great but now he’s overrated
Hypocritical to say the least
More like full of chit if you ask me
War BeterbievComment

Boxing may notionally be about hitting and not getting hit, but what boxer (at the elite level) ever actually hits without getting hit? None. Some great fighters make a career taking two punches to give one. Boxing is about skill, but its also about toughness, physical strength, mental fortitude, strategy...Comment

Just about every boxer I've heard talk about fighting mentions knowing how to react to getting hit, because it's inevitable. Even the elusive Floyd Mayweather, JR got tagged sometimes.

He is old. And he has a trading type of style that is not ideal for defense. In his case he is strong as a bull with a chin or iron Offensively he has gotten better with timing and accuracy with age. But he is not as quick as he was when he was 25, 30, or even 35!
This fighter with elite distance control better have a grade A chin, good mobile feet, and a gas tank the never run dry to win. AB forces his man to confront his physicality.Comment

I think Canelo who is flat footed was able to literally telegraph punches from outside the venue and hit Bivol
I think Joe Smith is literally a caveman almost clipped Bivol
i think Beterbiev is going to touch him and even more as they move to the 2nd half of the fight. It's obvious at this point he mixes in his power punches with shoe shining so almost impossible gauge what his cadence.

Overrated? Eh, if you want overrated right now, look no further than Ryan Garcia. Only thing I can say about Beterbiev is that he can get reckless sometimes.Comment

Ok, but Beterbiev never faced a mover like Bivol.

We only know Beterbiev can land on slow statues.Comment
