Comments Thread For: Hearn on Fury vs. Usyk: I Want Tyson Fury to Win that Fight and Go Down as a Real Great

Eddie Hearn feels Tyson Fury will finally be untouchable, from a legacy standpoint, if he manages to defeat Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk, the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion, will take on WBC titlist Fury, of Manchester, England, on May. 18 for the undisputed heavyweight championship at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Completely. He isn’t fooling anyone. He’s crossing his fingers so hard hoping for Fury’s loss.

Hearn is so predictable. Wish he would be honest for once and just say Fury is the only way Joshua gets a chance at becoming the top heavyweight so that’s why I’m rooting for him.

How does this make sense? Why would he be hoping for a Fury loss? A Fury-Joshua fight is far more lucrative than a third fight with Usyk, who has clearly beaten Joshua twice and would be a tough sell.

With the evident slippage and vulnerability Fury has shown in recent fights, it’s obvious to anyone that Hearn sees this as a more winnable fight, and a more marketable one either way.

No he wants Fury to win because of the $$$$$ Fury/Joshua would generate. Hearn is just getting on his promotion kneepads & pink bunny slippers hoping for an easy negotiation for that potential block buster. According to another article Joshua made 55 million in 2023 over 3 fights. Fury made 40 million in his only fight with Ngganou. Big money involved if this fight happens.

I don't see that. He knows that the desire for AJ-Usyk III is absolutely minimal.
The desire for Fury-AJ will always be there, but becomes immense if the winner would represent the top heavyweight on the planet.
The only way to achieve that is for Fury to beat Usyk.

Hearn has doubts about Wilder ?

I have no doubt Prime Wilder would have windmilled his pampered princess joshy into oblivion !

If only AJ had grown a pair, he could have put that fight together...lol

Mealy mouthed weasel that he is made sure it never did !

Hearn at his usual hypocrisy kissing Fury and Warren’s arse go they can both be on the same page and keep a United front to keep ripping off Turkie. When is Turkie going to wake up and figure out that all Hearn and Warren want is to get as much of Saudi’s money for themselves. The Hearn/DAZN experiment has been a total disaster, and Warren’s promotional company has nothing going on except Fury. Hearn and Fury are suddenly bestirs for the sole purpose of taking Turkie for a ride. The Matchroom vs Queensberry matches just shows how Hearn and Warren are doing all possible to keep Turkie in their pockets. Utter BS!!!
