Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn: Devin Haney Can Come And Fight Conor Benn in London at 147

Devin Haney simply can't stand still. After taking care of business against Vasiliy Lomachenko in mid-2023, Haney looked down at the scales with disgust. He knew there were still a handful of big fights remaining for him at 135 pounds but making that arduous weight cut was out of the question. Haney wasn't sure if a five-pound reprieve would be enough but he was willing to try.

    1. Benn clearly can’t fight in the UK, why else is he fighting in Vegas small hall’s in the afternoon.
    2. Benn has no credibility, never won a legitimate title, even at domestic level, so what’s in this fight for Devin Haney?
    3. There’s no money in this fight, Conor Benn is not even a draw in the UK, the only guy he can potentially draw against is Chris Eubank Jr and that’s purely because of their last names.

That will likely change once the appeal of the hearing is concluded which is apparently set for less than 2 weeks time.

Hearn is trying to set Haney up. Why the fook would an established champion like Haney go to London to fight a 0 time champ whose a drug cheat living off of his fathers last name? Gtfoh Haney already paid his dues by having to whoop kambosos twice in Australia. No need to travel to the land of minor league boxing.

From cheat to title fight. Hearn will do boxing right.

I expect we’ll see this fight. Nice easy win for Haney on a ppv platform, they get to cash Benn out without him getting hurt, and afterwards even though Benn will
be discredited as a world level guy they can still make coin on one or two domestic dustups.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it continues to drag on tbh. They need to bury it though.

                1. They’ll get him into the UK for that one big cash out ppv

                2. An easy win, that’s what’s in it. Just like Prograis.

                3. Risk reward. There isn’t a ton of money, but there is some with very little risk.

I think we’ll see the fight.

Benn is the least one to deserve a title shot that we can all agree but it would be kinda fun to watch Haney put a boxing clinic on his roided ass. Easy money.

That’s never a PPV fight in the UK. Would do terrible numbers. They only big fight involving Benn has to involve Eubank Jr.
