They won their belts in a mismatched vacant fight, not from a reigning world champ, this are all facts.
I'll give you sanctioning bodies, you know who's the longest waiting regular champ and mandatory for canelo's WBA belt? Yes, Morell jr, almost three years, if ryder has fought the Cuban and won, he probably would had fought ginger three years ago.
You didn't understand or didn't finish reading when I wrote about ryder and bivol, I said they were lying, that was the excuse talking about ryder moving up in weight, they took one look at DMJ, and that's all she wrote.
Yes, you can say the same about benavidez, but one thing for sure that you won't say is that canelo is going to wipe the floor with him, am I right? Of course you picking canelo to win, the problem is that canelo knows better and he's not picking benavidez. Now I know why you think so highly of the British, still they're not elite and you can go through their resumes and find nobody elite. What else? Oh, canelo is a fraud and I don't dislike him as a person, it means nothing to me, however I do dislike his antics and the way he's been protected. I'm an old boxing fan that has seen real fighters from the 60', 70', 80', 90's and so on. He's a good fighter but not what their fans and media made him too be.
What world class fighters have any of the guys you've mentioned beat?

only Canelo and the guys like Sanchez, JCC, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Napoles, SRL you mentioned are the ones who've beaten world class opposition...

Canelo hasn't wiped the floor with any opposition in years, he arguably hasn't even looked good since the Danny jacobs fight...

"Now I know why you think so highly of the British" feel free to explain!?

There isn't any British boxers I enjoy watching at the moment apart from Fabio Wardley and Nick ball and there certainly isn't any I think highly of.

None, and that's my point, they don't face each other often enough, there's always a diva that doesn't want to challenges himself, hence canelo been one of those. I thought you were a gingers fan.

Why would you think i'm a fan of Canelo, it's just the lack of critique for some fighters and being overly critical of others.

It's downright disgraceful especially when plenty of fighters do the exact same thing and are praised for it or worse still not critiqued at all...

You sound like a canelo's fan, posting that he can choose whoever he wants, which he can't but he does anyway, defending the $h1t he does, praising his opponents from his British tour, if you're not a fan you reall y look like one. You're right they're a few that does the same thing but they are not as high profile as ginger. And they have been criticized, Tank comes to mind, fury, who else? When you're the face of boxing and making the big bucks, sometimes you have to earned.

Looking forward to seeing the Gorilla in Tony Sims corner, I'm sure he will be a great trainer one day.

Mayweather did the exact thing after he fought ODLH and Canelo started it after he fought Mayweather, it's just part and parcel of the game.

And if you deny Mayweather's tactical picking and choosing of opposition coming off losses and ageing out, him avoiding the like of Paul Williams, Khan etc etc you're either in denial or just plain ******.

Don't know what your obsession with "British" is, you clown he's fought 3 british guys the exact same amount as he's fought Americans in his last 10 fights!?

Was he also on an American tour...

Also where did I praise any of his opponents, the only thing I've ever mentioned about his opponents is their CV not praising them for it but of course you'll be disingenuous, strip the context and make false assertions.

How has a thread about John Ryder's retirement descended into more "muh Canelo - Benavidez"?

Some people think a champion has an obligation to defend against the best challengers until the day he retires. Others think they can achieve a status when they can do as they please. You'll never resolve these two positions.

Let's end this. I'm not a floyd fan for some of the same reasons I don't like canelo. If you count charlo as a fight you're really a fan. Since 2016 he has fought 6 different brits, 1 mexican, 2 Russian, 1 turk and one American two divisions down and two years on the shelves, the one you called a fight. Oh man, you're not good a math.

You're right, a lot of people think that way. In reality something in the middle and balance of some sort will work. Like SRL fought Benitez then he squeezed in boy Green before fighting Duran I.
