  • Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley: "Joshua, Do What You're Supposed To Do, Show These MMA Guys How We Do It"

Tim Bradley didn't appreciate what Tyson Fury did out there. Just a few months ago, the current WBC heavyweight champion decided to give Francis Ngannou a chance. Of course, Ngannou spent practically the entirety of his career beating people up in a mixed martial arts cage. Essentially no one

Yeah, once Ngannou feels the power and starts backing up, I see him getting stopped in inside 4 or 5.

No matter how many times certain people claim otherwise, Ngannou is a pro boxing novice who's spent his career training in MMA - and if he was a highly skilled boxer, he would've been in boxing ages ago because boxers generally earn more than MMA fighters.

How about fight under MMA rules and show them how you do it instead of banning 80% of their skillset like a ***** and still managing to **** up like Fury did.

Boxers don't earn more then MMA fighters unless they're at the absolute pinnacle, it's a common misconception but most boxers are earning pennies some are effectively paying to fight...

It is true that if you are not a name in boxing, you earn a joke. Same in MMA, actually some good MMA fighters earn so little it is insulting, look at the average top salaries through the years.

The top names are earning nothing comparatively but the earning for low tier guys are actually better off.

They not only averagely get paid higher more, they get win bonuses which doubles their pay, forced sponsors like Reebok which pay a minimum of $3.5k per fight raising based on number of fights and potentially performance of the night bonuses...

It's true that UFC basically has a monopoly so they can pretty much afford to only pay fighters like Mcgregor who've brought in 100s of millions only about $40m over his career...

They don’t want to earn pennies, that’s why.

Thats a cop out. If guys like Fury and AJ were willing to do an MMA fight you know someone (probably the Saudis) would pay them a **** ton to do it. They could easily do two fight deals with one boxing match and one MMA fight, or some kind of mixed rules like X amount of boxing rounds then an MMA rules round etc, or kickboxing rules. But we all know how risk averse a lot of boxers and boxing promoters are even when it comes to fighting within their own sport.

Ngannou is what happens to fury if fury doesn’t have a size and weight advantage over an opponent. Ngannou is not a skinny guy minus 3 stone weight disadvantage like wilder had. When fury hit Ngannou he didn’t go anywhere and he was stronger than fury. And to be fair he has some decent boxing skill. I suspect the Joshua fight will look a lot differently

Ngannou if you read his story is a real life Conan the barbarian who started out in boxing but was convinced to switch to mma at a gym.

Like Fury i fully expect Aj to win the boxing match but can Ngannou once again win the fight & the fans? One thing is for sure Ngannou isn't like Wallin, a weak no power dabber Aj was unafraid of. I wouldn't be surprised if Aj goes into full Ruiz 2 mode especially as Ngannou has the hardest ever recorded punch, Aj has to bulk upto 250 where as Ngannou cuts to 265. Aj gonna be like "shhhhhiiiiiiiiit!"

                    Just 1 counter.
