Is Terence "Bud" Crawford vs Jaron "Boots" Ennis going to happen or not?

Let's settle this topic once and for all so we can all move on.

News articles are all about back and forth nonsense without any background info on whether there are negotiations going on or not; who are making efforts to make the fight, which promoters are interested, and so on. If there is none, then tell us why we can't put this subject to rest. Why we have to talk about this without any progress...

Highly unlikely because Jaron's team/management don't want to risk him taking an L before they actually start making some decent money.

The only way I see it happening is if the black gold, ****** rich Saudis put up the funds for the fight that satisfies both parties' purses.

I'm thinking not, personally. Ennis already chose not to fight Bud when he had the opportunity to have the fight ordered by a sanctioning organization, first by going the IBF route which only ordered one mandatory in 4 years, then by not petitioning for his shot until Bud-Spence was made, then remaining silent until Spence activated his rematch clause. And it's not a money fight, and Bud wants the money fights at the end of his career. Ennis just wants to bark at Bud but doesn't want to fight him, and Bud wants money.

If he really wanted Bud, he'd be fighting the top guys and proving that he's the new king of 147, as Tszyu has been attempting at 154 and Janibek has been at 160. Instead he's sitting out while even Keith "Once Upon a Time" Thurman is getting bigger fights.

Bud has said that he sees no value in fighting him, boots is just using crawfords name to gain clout.

Boots lost out on minimum two chances of fighting Bud but decided to go ducking as he’s seen going another route instead of sticking to original plan and eventually becoming his mando
Won’t stop him from tweeting or calling Bud out only when he’s already engaged contractually to fight

This is boxing. Of course the fight won't happen. Some people think Boots doesn't want to fight Crawford because he wants to "pretend" he's avoided and Crawford might give him his first loss. Others think Crawford is strictly looking for big money fights, and Boots doesn't bring that type of money.
