  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney-Ryan Garcia: Both Sides Once Again Resume Talks For WBC 140-Pound Title Fight

Ryan Garcia spun the block and arrived back at his most desired destination. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that negotiations have resumed in a bid for the 25-year-old contender to challenge unbeaten two-division and reigning WBC junior welterweight champion Devin Haney. The development--which was first reported by FightHype.com--comes less than four weeks after Garcia instructed Golden Boy Promotions to abandon talks for a fight that was initially put into play last December.

Ok , let's not spend six months with them arguing about it on Instagram, or Twitter, or whatever platform they use to act like children on. Get the contracts signed , and then talk.

Garcia is selling the fight and building the hype with the trash talk. I always get a laugh out of fans who actually get mad at rhetoric to sell fights.

This is pretty much a win win for Ryan when I think about it. If he goes 12 and loses a wide UD, people say Haney is boring and Garcia's fanbase won't care. If Ryan wins, which is not likely but in the "hey anything can happen in boxing" category, he is legitimized big time as a threat, and he also knocks Haney off his "I am boring but F you all" tower.

Good fight. Hopefully they make it.

cRyin Garcia finally came to his senses. PBC can't just hand over a title to a rival promoter. Certainly won't allow Romero to fight on DAZN, especially on a looming Amazon debut.
