Comments Thread For: Emanuel Navarrete-Denys Berinchyk Vacant Lightweight Title Fight Ordered By WBO

Emanuel Navarrete will embark on a path to capture a major title in a fourth weight division. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Mexico's Navarrete has enforced his 'Super Champion' status to compete for the vacant WBO lightweight title. The sanctioning body responded in kind and ordered the three-division and reigning WBO 130-pound titlist to enter talks with Ukraine's Denys Berinchyk.

Well that was out of the blue, didn't expect Vaquero to move up to 135. Might be an entertaining scrap.

I can see why they installed navarette as the number 1 because he has that super title status but Im sure Cruz was meant to get the shot him and Berinchyk were number 2/3 after loma. He must be going down the WBA route and probably facing Davis again or getting a shot at the vacant belt if Davis vacates which is likely. And Lomachenko is number 1 and he's fighting kambosos for the IBF. Id of liked to of seen Navarrete run it back with Robson conceicio but hopefully Conceicio gets a crack at the wbo again at 130lbs

Bout fooking time Denys gets a belt fight. Probably too late for him, dude is 35 now, but I like hes getting a big opportunity finally.

Hope Raymond gets the opportunity to fight the winner.

Vaquero really pushing the limits of his size advantage now, 50/50 fight imo

That's how you become a multi-division champion nowadays. Vaquero won a vacant belt at 130 against some australian dude and may win another vacant belt at 135 against a fighter who has never fought above euro level, and coming off what should have been a loss ton Conceicao.
