I'm not on the Benavidez's hype train where some pick him to clean out 175 too but, he's a nightmare match up for Munguia.
Munguia is not as effective going backward, slows down in the 2nd half of fights, and is easy to find, which spells disaster against Benny. On the other hand, he will land some shots on Benavidez too. Love to see this fight. We get too much BS from these top fighters that's why we see them fighting leftovers. They all need to fight at 168, and the best move up if you can.

        your sport.
You know your stuff! I bring up those fights too to make the same point at times.

Canelo/Munguia would would exemplify the crap festering this sport, especially since Business would dictate that Canelo/Benavidez is a bigger cash event. i.e. fan demand is higher.

Well that took a quick turn. I expose your lack of boxing knowledge and you expose yourself to have gay obsessive thoughts mixed with female like emotions. Ok, have fun with those.

GGG didn’t stop Canelo, Benavidez has zero shot at stopping him.

the ******ity of Canelo haters, acting like Benavidez is some sort of unstoppable killer, when in reality he couldn’t KO a Canelo left over or a 35 year old overhyped quitter.
I wouldn't bet on anybody stopping Canelo except maybe Beterbiev, but I don't see that fight ever happening. I think Benavidez would beat Canelo, though. And, based on Munguia's performance against Derevyanchenko - the only fighter he's ever faced with legitimate power (but yet not a beast in that dept) and good fundamental skills - where Jaime didn't get dropped but he got rocked several times, I think Benavidez, Morrell, and Jermall would all be favored to knock him out.

I think Munguia is a good kid. I like his manners. He's fun to watch - especially because there is an air of vulnerability about him. And, sure, he's got a chance against all those guys, and Canelo, but it's more of a puncher's chance. There are levels to boxing and Jaime is firmly below those four. Now, against Plant, I think he has a good chance. And I like Plant, too. But he doesn't punch hard enough and his gas tank isn't good enough. And I think Munguia vs Mbilli would be a great fight. I favor Mbilli - not by a lot - and it would be a ****er.

But there is NO WAY Munguia deserves the next shot at Canelo. ONLY Benavidez deserves that next shot. There are rumors that Jermall is next. He doesn't deserve that shot. And Morrell doesn't deserve it either.

Here are the match-ups I think should be next for the top guys at 168, if boxing wasn't a #@$% show:

              Canelo vs Benavidez
              Jermall vs Plant
              Morrell vs Shishkin
              Mbilli vs Munguia
Pacheco vs Berlanga (after they both get through their next scheduled fights)

Cong**** to Munguia. Let’s see Canelo vs Munguia, then Crawford, Charlo, Benavides in that order

The only emotional one is you f.aggot. You’re the one thinking Benavidez beating two sorry ass opponents, getting out boxed by them before they gassed, makes him some KO killer. You know nothing idiot. Keep crying though
