There are certain weight classes where there are multiple fights that could be made which make sense. For example at 140 or 135, any mix of Haney, Matias, Teo, Tank and Hsakur makes sense. At 168, the only fight that makes sense for the “champion” Canelo is against Benavidez. The fact that he’s trying to negotiate with a Munguia or the fat and sad alcoholic Charlo is a joke. For a guy that lived to say he’s chases greatness, and asks what certain fighters have done to deserve a fight with him, he sure makes himself look like a hypocrite.

You guys don't really know how to read. I never said Munguia beats Canelo. ( in boxing though anyone can be beaten, everyone has bad nights) My point was about boxing styles and preferences Canelo has. In all these match ups, anything can happen and I would favor Canelo in most of these fights but that doesn't mean he's going to win, my whole point was about what Canelo would prefer. You also mentioned Munguia past opponents and how he struggled with certain guys, and you're right, he has but like in every single sport on this earth there's something called growth, of course you're going to struggle, but like in everything you learn and get better, Munguia is better now than he was a few years back, if you use that as an excuse, I can name every top fighter at this moment and tell you how at some point in the past, they struggled against not so great competition, that's how it works but you get better.

Well he tried to be great. Bivol gave him a reality check and self doubt.

canelo loving this, he has options to not fight benny which is the fight people want to see, real top guys fight the hardest challenges on paper when that opponent is going well and on top form, others marinate the fight or avoid altogether, but their fans will always find excuses to cover it anyway

Still do not see what Mungia has done or who he has beat to warrant a fight against Canelo ..IMHO Mungia's next fight should be against Berlanga if he gets past McCrory. Easy fight to make that makes sense for both.

Maybe it saves him against Canelo

I'd like to see Munguia take out Berlanga. That could be one of the easiest "0s" to take. The only apprehension is that Munguia is just so easy to hit clean and Berlanga might find a hole or a hundred of them in his "Airtight Defense". Lol.

Would PBC co promote with GBP to allow Canelo v Mungia next knowing they just signed exclusive deal with amazon prime? Or would they just keep it 'in house' and go for Benavidez? Whatever happens ,Both fights should be fun and that cant be denied.
