Canelo is making 8 figures per fight, and has shown no severe signs of slipping. He no longer has an undefeated record to protect, and I haven't heard him contemplate immediate retirement. Canelo is obviously at the tail end of his career, but retiring now will make it seem like he's ducking Benavidez.

Even then does that mean he ain’t getting into the HoF ?
What does another L on his ledger make him ?
He just ain’t top tier anymore
Put it this way if he fights Benny who you got ?
      Morrell who you got ?
      Mbilli fighting Canelo ?

If no Canelo, Benavidez should definitely face Morrell/Mbilli/Munguia. The worst thing Benavidez could do is WAIT for Canelo. By not fighting him immediately, I actually think Canelo is trying to force Benavidez to face Morrell.

hmmm.......at first thought...Morrell>Benavidez>Munguia. Morrell is still mostly unproven though. I'd pick Benavidez vs. Mbilli too. I'd actually like to see Morrell vs. Mbilli the most.

Would you pick any to beat Canelo
Cause I’ve asked this question before and seems like the consensus is two out of three
So in fact , once that happens we can agree Canelo is done no ?

Ryder was just there to collect a pay check he’s finished. Obviously joining the “retired off canelo money” line lol. Mungia is not a bad fighter but the DAZN commentators were terrible. Screaming for canelo? For a guy they don’t promote and won’t promote for AT LEAST the next 2 of his fights? Like gimme a break. Tired of hearing canelos name everytime anyone fights

Who cares? If Floyd fool you thinking he is great, look at his record and when he beat this guys, never in their prime. Tell me all the ATG he beat in their Prime, none.

But who we would pick to win is only speculation. I'd pick him against Munguia and Benavidez, but that doesn't really mean anything.

I completely agree with your overall message that Canelo could retire right now with a HOF career, and that he doesn't necessarily gain much by continuing to fight. But if he agrees to keep fighting, then he has to keep taking challenges. It's just the way the sport goes: the young eat the old. Canelo is getting paid handsomely to put himself in the line of fire.

We won't know how "done" Canelo is until after those fights. I just hope he doesn't waste a training camp on Jermall.
