Nigel Been in a roundtable interview indicated that he did not want to fight Jones. When you say Jones never fought Cal in his prime then you should also be saying Cal never fought Jones in his prime.

As great as Roy was I wouldn't say he was unbeatable or the most unbeatable even.
I love Roy he was the second fighter I ever seen that completely blew me away after Tyson but keeping it real I think the whole Roy was unbeatable thing is a little overplayed,
he struggled all throughout his career vs southpaws in his prime included.

Lou Del Valle dropped him heavy and gave him all sorts of issues.
Both of the Tarver fights & many others he lost and was KTFO in though certainly way out of his prime then.

Off the top of my head I can't think of a single time he even looked good vs a southpaw.

Chris Algieri was about 6 years old when when Roy was at his best but I get his point, Roy looked and displayed greatness every time out.

These guys called Jones out (including Benn).

As if calling out a fighter means anything. How many fighters call out other fighters for show over the years? Too many to count. You should know that by now. Benn was being honest. And not every fighter from every era fights everyone. Some of his potential opponents fought each other and some didn't.

Anyone over 40 that was lucky enough to witness RJJ in his prime knows he was the best by a country mile. The most gifted fighter I've ever seen. People get caught up with his losses later in his career but ward, calzaghe, Benn, eubank, beyerbiev none of them would stand a chance against his prime

Jones at 168 was a blizzard of speed, footwork, power, angles, and reflexes. He would have overwhelmed those guys. Roy Sr. put him through hell to become what he became, inarguably the best fighter in the world.

Canelo? He couldn’t even beat Golovkin at 160. Wouldn’t stand a chance against Jones. Or even Ward at 168.

Prime RJJ beats the breaks off Betervieb, too much speed , other worldly reflexes and skill. No fighter can say they beat a in his prime RJJ..
