Netflix getting into the fight game of sorts

Netflix just secured the rights to WWE
Can this be a gateway to acquire other rights to the fight game
Anyone think , now that Prime got into boxing , that maybe they would consider getting attached to a promotion for boxing
Would they be successful? Take it away boys

      This is an insane deal

$500 million per year for the rights just to "Monday Night Raw"

"Smackdown" is still going to be on USA Network & "NXT" is going to the CW

If they get in the boxing game, hopefully, they can supplant the bull**** ass promoters.

How does securing rights to some entertainment brand with bad acting means "getting into the fight game"? Do you even know how to read?

Anyone paying attention could see there was live sports in play with the major streaming platforms coming. So off course there is potential that Netflix gets boxing at some future date.

                Exactly this
I think it would attract many fans or casuals to the sport

I don't foresee major streaming platforms in play having much to do with diminishing promoter power in the game. It'd be cool if it did but I tend to think the easist way to get into the boxing game for them would be for them to make a deal with a promoter who'd make them regular content.

That said I'd personally love to see a platform just sign popular fighters to exclusive deals, but this seems a harder road to navigate & sustain.

Honestly so many networks have dropped boxing over the last few years that it doesn't really matter at this point. They need to fix up the sport by making the best fight the best. They also need to lower puree sizes so that you can only make a lot of money when you fight the best. Until that formula changes it doesn't matter what network puts on boxing
