Comments Thread For: John Ryder Hopes Upset Win Over Munguia Could Lead To Canelo Rematch

If momentum truly is a thing, John Ryder had all of it in the world. He hit the cruise control button against Mike Guy, knocked out Jozef Jurko, and scored back-to-back upsets over Daniel Jacobs and Zach Parker. All of those steps led him to the front door of Canelo Alvarez.

For him to even say that if he wins its a upset speaks volumes on low standards

Munguia is Mexican and the fight is in Arizona. Ryder doesn't appear to have the pop to be KO-ing Jaime and he'll need to be absolutely dominant to get a decision. Difficult against a man with activity levels like Munguia. There's a reason why the bookies have it so wide and it isn't all to do with their respective abilities.

All of the hoping in the world isn't going to make that happen, you had your shot already.
There are a lot more deserving fighters waiting in line to make that money, and claim that scalp.

How about you beat Munguía so Canelo doesn't have as easy an excuse to duck the Davids, and then you can fight more of his leftovers, or get rid of Berlanga too.
