Beterbiev is on another level not seen often throughout history.

Now people are acting like he was the best win of Beterbiev's career (maybe he was but come on). And when he was actually punching, Beterbiev didn't do much. Beterbiev was able to punish him because he stopped punching and literally let Beterbiev come into the pocket. When Smith was punching and put Beterbiev on the back foot, Beterbiev backed up and threw nothing. When he was on the outside, he only threw single shots. He didn't do slip entries. He didn't do split entries. What did he do skill wise to get in the pocket to throw his offense? Nothing. He just waited until Smith left the front door open and walked in. Smith did the same thing against Canelo. And Smith didn't have the feet to exit out the side against Beterbiev and make him reset the whole pattern. He doesn't have the cardio to do that for twelve. Bivol does. He's done that for 119 rounds + 1:41.

Beterbiev HAS to win the jab battle to beat Bivol. If he can outjab Bivol, he'll likely win the fight, and probably by stoppage. If he can't do that, he's going to have to time Bivol coming in, and he does have the advantage having also come up in the Russian system, but he's only got an inch of reach advantage (essentially a half inch in arm length, which is the really relevant measurement), and Bivol is way more defensively responsible.

I think the first 2-3 rounds will make it clear who will win. If he can get inside and work in any of the first 3 rounds, it's going to be a good fight. Otherwise I'm picking Bivol by points.
Beterbiev does not have to bother about that jab stuff. That is low level stuff for when 2 boxers are evenly matched. He can parry Bivol jab and stalk him down all night, the moment Bivol gets in range he'll get mauled.

      No , I wouldn’t say that
Bivol has much higher boxing iq , better defensively and now the secret is out , Beterbiev is not just a mauler

I really like Beterbiev. Love the Russo-****** fighters’ work ethic and style in both boxing and UFC. However, I’m not so sure I agree about him posing a lot of problems for a prime RJJ. He was legendary and very explosive and twitchy. I think Beterbiev puts early pressure on him, which RJJ weathers fairly well, and then turns it on and stops him.

My such low standards you clowns have ... the guy has literally beaten no one of significance yet he beats a canelo victim(who canelo haters give zero credit for beating)and now he's an "ATG" a once in a lifetime athlete hahahhahhahaah you goofs are too predictable.

Man GTFOH the guy is as stiff as a board slow plodder with a shaky chin just asking to get ktfo he's beaten average to decent guys but he's now an ATG.

Stop this BS you biased clowns are jokes. Lol

You missed the point completely...I'm not saying they fight the same way but they were all dominant, Soviet come forward fighter's with devastating KO power at their peak.

Thats true he needs Bivol and probably a little more to be an recognized ATG, but he hasnt finished his career so we cant say he isnt one just yet.

Give me a few names of ATGs that never struggled with anyone considered an easy beat, you got me thinking now.

I think we need to see how Artur fares against better opposition to really gauge that. I think both guys are/were monsters in their respective division's in their prime.

Both are very strong, extremely heavy handed, like to apply pressure and hurt their opponents, cut off the ring well, are efficient, have good ring I.Q. etc.

Both guys seem a bit slow and hittable at times so I think speed can cause them trouble but of course you have to be an elite level fighter with the defence, durability, stamina etc and they don't come around too often.

Roy Jones could be knocked out. AB certainly his hard enough and has the right style to crack the PED filled Roy Jones. I'd like to see Roy keep AB off.

He has elite hand speed and skills, but a glass jaw. As you said Jones would be forced into trading. To be truthful Jones is a bit cut prone and stands about 5-10" tall It was never proven this guy could take a body shot either.

NO WAY Roy Jones would fight Beterbiev. He would duck him, sort of like he avoided Dariusz Michalcewski a border line HOF fighter that beat some of Jones best opponents.
