Frankly most fans don't care where it takes place - they just want these fights to happen (it's not like most of us are going in person to see the fights).
Some are bitter about this but in the end it should be taken out on ALL promoters - esp. Haymon, Arum, Oscar, Warren and Hearn who held up big fights to 'marinade' (aka maximise their revenue). This combined with corrupt sanctioning bodies and judges (afraid to say mainly based in US and Mexico). At least the last some of those promoters decided to move forward - rest are just sour over the fact their cash cow is gone and their hold / establishment is broken.

Boxing is the only sport (maybe MMA too) where there isn't a logical system for someone to get opportunities to fight for Title, nor a system for ensuring Titles are fairly defended and open to others to win. Think Tennis, Football (Soccer), ANY other sport - there are rankings and tournaments with a logical basis for someone holding the title and if they don't defend - the sport doesn't wait for them and there is a FIXED TIMELINE for tournaments. If a player is injured, tough luck, someone else gets a chance. Boxing has an incredibly corrupt history with the root of all that is in US / UK - it still hasn't shaken this off. I am from the UK so no bias or dig inteded here, just facts :-).

Saudi will never have the ability to run a full year calendar anyway as 7-8 months of the year the weather is incredibly harsh. It's upto the others to get their act together if they want to remain relevant.
    Great post.

The bottom line with Saudi being in the game at all is cuz there is a market to exploit with how ******ly the major promoters are doing things. If the promoters were serving the fans there would be no need for Saudi to get in the game in as big a way as they have.

Lmfao. I honestly think we got a lot of boxing fans who aren't reallllllllly fans & are just mfers who enjoy complaining about sh^t all day every day.

I think everyone would rather fights be held in places that make more sense but thats not the thing in play. The thing in play is do you wanna see the fight at all. If you wanna see the fight at all you'll watch it in the fooking desert & if you don't wanna see it you'll wait for yrs & yrs for it to happen at Wembley or T-Mobile or wherever & be disappointed when it doesn't happen at all or when one or both parties is past prime.

Sh^t if Saudi was around 15yrs ago doing this we'd have probably gotten 2 or 3 Floyd vs Manny fights during their best yrs. Who wouldn't have rather seen 2 or 3 Floyd vs Manny fights in their prime in the fooking desert than one with both past their best days at MGM Grand.

If Usyk beats Fury, I have no intention of watching Uk domestic derby Fury -AJ for nothing.

          Yeah nah, im good.

Watching AJ fight the corpse of zombie fury coming of a loss to Usyk would not float my boat.

Ill take a pass and give that a hard swerve thanks Turki!

Maybe in Britain it would still do well. I don't see it moving the needle anywhere else.

Makes me feel like Usyk isn't going to get a fair shake with judging, and he needs that because he wins on points at heavyweight.

If Usyk beats Fury then Fury-Joshua becomes a side dish for Britain ... Make it a Britain based fight ... O2 will do ...

One can only imagine what Fast Eddie and Fisheyes are taking turns whispering in Turkis ear while the other is tonguing his bum.

Turki actually thinks he KSAB and is a rockstar promoter now....lol

Dude, you're a camel jockey with too much money and time on your hands keeping company with wolves and gyspsies.

                    Keep it real!
