If the winner of this match would fight Kenshiro Teraji next, that will really make it interesting in 108.

Gonzalez is a good boxer but has an unreliable chin. He should take the biggest match available because he can be on the losing side in any of his matches.

Get it done, and winner fights Kenshiro Teraji. Make it happen!

          Random fun future what-ifs...
Teraji fights 1/23 against Canizales to defend his belt, WBO Gonzalez-Santiago is on March 2nd, and IBF Curiel-Nontshinga rematch is sometime in February.
Given that Gonzalez and Teraji had a fight set up last year that got can'xed due to Gonzalez getting sick, they may still be willing to bring it back this year if Gonzalez wins.
IBF mandatory is Masamichi Yabuki, who is the guy that defeated Teraji during his first reign (and got KOed in immediate rematch to start his second reign).
So in a perfect world for me, if Teraji and Gonzalez wins and decides to do a reunification this summer and the winner of Curiel-Nontshinga fights Yabuki around the samn time and Yabuki wins, there could be a final trilogy fight between Teraji and Yabuki for the first undisputed junior FW.

Another funny trivia, Teraji is named after the main character of a classic martial arts manga "Fist of the North Star" Kenshiro. Yabuki based his ring name off the main character of another absolute classic boxing manga "A****a no Joe" named Joe Yabuki, a story of a bantamweight boxer. I think someone on frequents the forum has a picture of him in their avatar.
