Artur Beterbiev wasn't the only unbeaten, Montreal-based fighter trained by Marc Ramsey who impressed Eddie Hearn on Saturday night. The British promoter also scouted Christian Mbilli, who battered brave Australian Rohan Murdock until Murdock's

I would favor him against any of those fighters. Anyone with top skills will make him look silly at times because of his defense and he doesn't set up his punches.

He is fun to watch though and would like to see him against any name or top fighter.

Mbili is French and most of his fights were held in Montreal, Quebec. Which is Canada's French province. He must be signed with a promoter based in that area.

How many times is Mbilli going to duck Morrell? He's been the top ranked contender for Morrell's belt for quite some time but keeps feasting on bums instead. Morrell and Benavidez will destroy him, let alone Canelo. His defense is too permeable. He'd also get faster stoppages on those bums if he learned to change up his intensity. Light touch then hard touch. The light touch makes them relax involuntarily and slows their ability to tense against impact. If every shot is hard, it's way easier to take it.

That being said, Berlanga, Pacheco, Munguía, and Ryder are the appropriate level for him, and he's fun to watch.

          He's a feather-fisted hype-job with no defense.

Any of those guys would take his head off.

He's a feather-fisted hypejob with a 85% KO ratio, who stopped Murdock sooner than Parker did, destroyed Nicholson in four rounds when Berlanga and Andrade went the distance with him and who has a solid win over Gongora.

He was also a world class amateur and an olympian. That sounds like a good fighter to me.

His defense is porous, but the blend of aggressiveness, volume and cardio with good power would be a problem for almost everyone in the division.

Morrell does not fight anyone that is not promoted by PBC and Mbilli resume is better than Morrell.

Morrell's last opponent wasn't promoted by PBC.

Both men's resumes have nothing to do with the post you quoted. Mbilli's team could petition to become Morrell's mandatory challenger but it doesn't seem like they wanna go that route.

Yeah, if you're comparing his punching power to Joe Parker, you're reinforcing my point.

He hit Murdock with about a thousand clean power punches and the guy didn't even go down. Dude can't crack an egg.
